About Me
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist based in Chicago with over a decade of experience working with adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration, life transitions, and the lasting effects of trauma. While I maintain a generalist practice, my clinical work has been especially shaped by a long-standing focus on trauma recovery. I have advanced training in evidence-based treatments such as Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy, which I integrate into a broader, more holistic understanding of how people heal from emotional pain.

My clinical training was rooted in hospital and medical center settings, where I worked across diverse disciplines such as Neuropsychology, Inpatient Psychiatry, an HIV/AIDS clinic, and a post-deployment clinic for returning combat veterans. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Capt. James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, with specialized rotations in PTSD, substance use disorders, and recruit mental health. Later, I joined the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center as a Staff Psychologist, where I also served as Coordinator of the Student Veteran Outreach Program, building partnerships with local universities to support veterans transitioning from military to academic life.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with many individuals impacted by emotional trauma. This includes survivors of sexual assault, those who experienced childhood abuse or neglect, and people navigating complex family dynamics. I also served as a state-certified sexual assault crisis counselor, supporting survivors in Chicago-area emergency rooms. These experiences have shaped a deeply trauma-informed lens that continues to guide my clinical perspective across all client concerns.

In addition to direct clinical work, I’ve contributed to the field through teaching, clinical supervision, and professional training. I’ve taught doctoral-level courses in psychodynamic psychotherapy, supervised psychologists-in-training at various stages of development, and led trainings on trauma and veteran mental health for both clinical and interdisciplinary audiences. My scholarly work includes co-authored articles in peer-reviewed journals focusing on post-traumatic stress and the psychological experiences of post-9/11 veterans.
My approach is grounded in the belief that psychological growth involves not only symptom relief, but also the deeper work of self-understanding, meaning-making, and the gradual recovery of vitality and agency. I bring to my practice both clinical precision and a deep respect for the complexity of each person’s story
